With a foundational experience in IT, particularly in infrastructure support, you are ready to take on more responsibility. You excel in troubleshooting, have a good understanding of network and server systems, and are eager to enhance your skills further. You're known for your exceptional service orientation and your ability to communicate complex technical issues in an understandable manner. Role Overview:
As a Technical Support Specialist for Infrastructure, you'll play a crucial role in our IT support team, providing essential support and maintenance for our infrastructure systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your technical skills while working in a collaborative environment.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as a resource for Service Desk issues as needed as related to networking and security.
- Proactively address networking, storage, security, and other issues to optimize our customers’ environments.
- Assist on project-based work for customers.
- Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Create and document standard operating procedures and submit detailed notes documenting customer interactions within the ticketing/documentation system.
- Constantly focus on delighting all Uprise customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support with a focus on infrastructure, demonstrating a solid understanding of networking, servers, and storage systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- A team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
- Eagerness to take initiative, learn, and progress within the IT field.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong organization skills, proactive problem solving, and priority setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal, written communication skills, and excellent listening skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully pass a background security check.
- While post-secondary education is valued however, technical skills/understanding and customer service experience are most important for this role.
- Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure or network support are a plus.
